Gene Hackman and Clint Eastwood are virtually the same age, but Hackman has no director credits and hasn't acted in a decade. Akira Kurosawa, one of the world's acclaimed directors lived until the age of 88, but I didn't much like anything past Ran (which he directed at age 75). David Lean lived to the age of 84, but directed his last film seven years before his death. Carl Reiner is age 92, but the last film he directed as at age 75. There is a film director in Portugal who cranks out a movie every year past the age of 100, but I was thinking of American directors. |

His talent is in directing good material. Woody Allan has 75 writing credits, and 51 directing. Woody is more a writer than a director, but is good at both. I would say Eastwood is the better movie maker, Woody has way too many dud's and Eastwood seldom has any. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

While neither director is known for making boxoffice smashes, Clint's movies are much more commercially successful than Woody's. According to boxofficemojo, these are Woody Allen's directorial films that have sold the most tickets 1 Annie Hall 2 Manhattan 3 Hannah and Her Sisters These are Clint Eastwood's films that he directed that have sold more tickets than "Hannah and Her Sisters" 1 American Sniper 2 Unforgiven (5th highest R rated film in 1992) 3 Sudden Impact (3rd highest R rated film in 1983) 4 Gran Torino (2nd highest R rated film in 2008) 5 Space Cowboys 6 The Bridges of Madison County 7 Firefox 8 Million Dollar Baby 9 The Outlaw Josey Wales 10 Mystic River 11 The Gauntlet 12 Pale Rider 13 Heartbreak Ridge 14 Absolute Power |

As time went on it became less unique to the point that I don't find Woody's old movies to be funny anymore. Too many copycats everywhere. I call it self examination comedy, very common today. The Front Page is 86 years old, and His Girl Friday is 75 years old. Still hilarious. |

I like watching old Marx Bros. films. I love "Duck Soup." They're hysterical. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

3 Stooges never gets old either. It's human nature to laugh at morons. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
