oddities of everyday life

rdw4potus Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 10 Posts: 147 | I have a knack for noticing things. Of course, I miss and or forget my share as well, but I do notice a lot of things. Over the weekend, I noticed two that I just can't get over. It's occurred to me that others probably have similar things to share, so I've started this thread. This weekend's oddities: 1. I noticed a field that used to be a commercial truck sales and repair center. The building is gone, but the sign remains. Now there's just a big empty field with a sign that says "dump bodies 610-xxx-xxxx" in front of it. 2. About an hour after passing the field of bodies, I stopped for gas and caffeine. When I went inside to pay, I had a very uncomfortable experience with the cashier. He was on a laptop utterly entranced by some hardcore lion sex. There was no way to get his attention without also letting him know that I'd seen what I was taking his attention from. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Dude watched lions get it on for about 10 minutes before he realized that there were people in the store. I'm not wearing any pants, film at 11 |
