Yesterday I saw Scotch Automotive Duct
Tape at Walmart. I have never even heard
of auto duct tape, where has this stuff been
all my life. Half as thick as regular duct tape
and twice as sticky. It has a dimpled surface
that allows it to stretch and conform to almost
anything.

I just love this stuff, I have a roll in both
cars, in the tool box and the bedroom.
I've used Breathe Right nasal strips for
years to keep my nose open at night.
I get tired of buying them, and sometimes
they don't even stay on all night.

I make my own now with car duct tape.
I use the 3 plastic inserts from an old
strip, and construct the sticky part with
the tape. Works great, never comes
loose. Today I made a bandage for my
dogs leg with the tape and it stayed
in place all day. It's stickier than any
duct tape I've used, I've not had it
fail at any task.

I will get some of that tape.

I wash my beak with hydrogen peroxide before I install a strip, they stick all night then.

Good trick on using tape for that purpose. On fishing boats, deck hands for a long time have used preparation H and duct tape to fix just about any wound that didn't require a trip to the medical facility.

Every day there is a slight bend to the
strips, I just install them so the bend is
down, to get the most spring action. They
really stick, I have to find an edge to
take it off the next day.

Take a piece of tape a little wider than
half the width of the tape on the roll,
about 4" long. Lay it sticky side up,
and position the strips so they're
centered. Take another 4" strip from
the narrower side on the roll and
place it sticky side up on the first
strip. There you have it, place it
on your nose for as long as you
need it. I tried 4 plastic strips once,
it's too much spring. The tape held
but it didn't feel right.

Strange, I don't snore. It seems worse this time of year?

I hate waking up with my mouth so dry, I could strike a wooden match on it.

More do it yourself, or crafts. Or like that.

How does a dryer work?

Mine is being stupid. It still tumbles, still gets hot, but everything remains wet. I did just now go clean it out, thinking a lint plug is blocking the exhaust and keeping the steam in the drum, but what I pulled out doesn't appear to have been big enough to plug anything. I also removed the exhaust hose and there wasn't anything in it. Just a film of lint on the hose itself, but no clumps or wads or anything that could block anything.

Do they have exhaust fans? Or does the air rushing in simply push the air already inside out? I got my electric bill laughably low, I don't want to lose all that work to 3 drying cycles per load =p

Heat and tumbling, check? Must be air movement that's missing. Although stuffing them with lots of heavy material can slow things down quite a bit.

Save your breath, it was my weedwhacker lol

Too poor for lawn maintenance, so vines grew up around the vent. Not enough to plug it, but enough to catch enough lint so that plugged it. All fixed now =)
