There's a good documentary on Nflix
of the making of the orig Die Hard
movie. It changed action films forever.
At the end they drop Alan Rickman
4 stories into a giant air bag. The look
of terror on his face is real because
he was told he would be released at
the count of 3 and he was released at
the count of 1.

The funny thing is, we all think of this
as a Xmas movie and it's not. It was
released as a summer blockbuster in
July 1988.

Same thing with Gremlins. It's a Christmas movie from top to bottom yet it was released in June.
