He typed over 90 words a minute on his electric typewriter, with a backup in case it broke.

According to Arthur C. Clarke (the second-best science writer, as per the terms of the Asimov-Clarke treaty), Dr. Asimov wrote four books at once, operating typewriters with both hand and both feet. Mr. Clarke speculated future scholars would argue about which book was written with which foot.

On a more serious note, Boston University keeps the collection of Asimov's papers (drafts, galleys, correspondence, etc.) Asimov taught there for many years, but didn't conduct much research. He spent a lot of time at the library, either reading or writing. So his insane work schedule as a freelance writer came rather later in his life.

At an interview in the 70s he was asked whether he'd rather write or have sex. His answer: "Well, I can write for six hours without getting tired."

In his memoir, too, he described his writing habits in detail. I forget exactly, but some works he typed twice (once on a typewriter and another on his "word processor"). This means his quite impressive output might have been way higher.

If you don't get Prime, get it. Has better shows
than Nflix for the same money. I get both.

Sneaky Pete, a new series with Giovanni Ribisi. This
guy cannot turn in a bad acting performance.
This a fast moving 10 episode masterpiece, with
Brian Cranston as the psychotic gangster badass.

Some of the best character actors in the business.
Margot Martingale, Peter Gerety, Marin Ireland.
You might not know the names, but you know
these actors, believe me.

4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon, 55,000 reviews on
this one. I wanted to binge and I never binge,
it's that good. I did binge the last 2 eps, had to,
I just couldn't wait for the finale.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

So my plan to ditch Netflix until a) the new Trek series premieres and b) the new Rick and Morty season comes to Netflix, seems to have extended itself indefinitely.

If I wait for both conditions, I estimate it will be around June 2018...

I've been binging Big Little Lies on HBO all day.

Only 7 episodes, so not a huge commitment.

I've watched 5 so far. Two left.

Very satisfying finale!

Too bad there will be no season 2!

Taking a break from game of thrones. So many deaths.
Watching John Adams
On episode 3 and am quite impressed with the historical depictions

Adult Swim streamed episode one, season 3 of Rick and Morty as an April Fool's joke.

I've mixed feelings about it. On one hand it felt like a reset button episode (really!), on the other it kept good continuity with past episodes!

Now to wait until the rest of the much-delayed third season airs, and then to wait some more until it makes its way to Netflix.

That doesn't appeal to me to watch it, all the killing.
