Unfortunately, I watched the entire season at one sitting .

I would never do that with a show
I liked, you miss all the nuance.
That's how my dog eats, no matter
what I give him, he just wolfs it down
in a few bites. I don't do that with
good food, why would I do it to a
good TV show, or a good wine, or a
good anything.

Bosch Seaston 3 has been available on Amazon Prime for last 48 hours. free.

Just finished Bosch 3. Titus Welliver has the
40's hard boiled cop nailed. The alpha
male deluxe, he exudes confidence and
experience. Takes no shit from anybody,
always does everything his way. He's
a combination Sam Spade and Phillip
Marlowe. It's Welliver's demeanor, and
his voice. It's about as deep a baritone
as you can get, when he wants it to be.
You can't play the part if you sound like
Peewee Herman.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

You should read the books
I read them all in order
Really good fun reads, there must be at least 20 Bosch books by now.
Just about finished season 6 Game of Thrones.
Probably end HBO Now and go with Amazon to watch Bosch. I switch streaming services as I end one series and move onto another

You should read the books

Tried reading one of them, Connelly is
not Raymond Chandler by any stretch.
His prose is short and choppy description,
gets old and boring very fast. He's a
Mickey Spillane type of writer, a pulp
fiction guy. Spillane created some good
characters, like Mike Hammer, but the
books are hard to read if you're used to
really good authors.

Try Dashiell Hammett, who created Sam
Spade in The Maltese Falcon. Hammett
was the creator of the hard boiled hero,
he's considered one of the finest writers
of the 20th century. What you read in
Bosch or Sam Spade is just writers trying
to copy Hammett.

Currently binging on
Narcos season 1. Very realistic
They mix real pictures and videos with acting. I really like that Pablo Escobar speaks Spanish. Makes all the acting seem authentic.
Better Call Saul season 2. Yea I'm a season behind most but got spoiled by TV on demand.
Mr Robot season 2. Watching via USA network app.

12 Monkeys looks interesting. Unable to find a place to binge. Website only has season 2. I want to watch season 1 1st. Website said try Scyfy VOD channel thru cable provider. Only has season 2. Maybe Hulu has it as that was websites 2nd recomendation. Ridiculous website just has season 2.

He's a Mickey Spillane type of writer.
Mickey Spillane was a great guy. He wrote as he lived and Mike Hammer was simply a fictionalized Mickey Spillane. His works were always on the best seller lists and he frequently commented that America had always sold far more peanuts than caviar. He and Hemingway had a running battle about quality and when one radio host asked Mickey Spillane if he had heard Hemingway's criticism of him, Spillane promptly quipped "Hemingway who?".

Hemingway has been taught in colleges
since 1930. Spillane, not so much. If at
all.

The Keepers

A new true crime documentary series on Netflix about the 1969 murder of a 26 year old nun.

I'm in the middle of episode 2 right now and damn this is some DARK stuff. Disturbing.

First Netflix canceled the 3rd season of it's
best drama, Bloodline, now it's on again
and is coming next week. This show's
first season was blown away good, the
second good, the third is the last.
Like they say, they're good people who
had to do a bad thing. And boy do they
pay for it.

Just watched Joshua : Teenager vs Superpower
Fascinating documentary regarding young teen, Joshua Wong taking on the Govt of China. The kid is totally censored in mainland China. Go on the internet and search his name there, nothing.
Very inspiring documentary
