It's hard to watch, I hope this isn't the future.

Well the technique is over 100 years old, this is the first television series to use rotoscoping animation for every episode.

Korean rotoscoping with Spanish subtitles.

MONDAY PBS COUNTRY MUSIC BY KEN BURNS

So far loving Ken Burns Country Music
Not really a fan of todays country music. Country music today seems like its derived from the Eagles
I am a huge fan of bluegrass and roots music and Ken Burns doing a great job on those 2 subjects in the 1st 2 episodes.

I missed the first episode but really enjoyed the 2nd. Gives you a real feel not only of the roots of country music but the reality of the depression. I am old enough my parents were children in the depression and I heard lots of stories growing up. Many of todays young adults should watch the series to find out how good we all have it right now.

I'm loving this series
Being a Deadhead, the roots of country music are the same roots that Jerry Garcia was a huge fan of
Many Grateful Dead songs originated as roots songs.
Cold Rain and Snow, Stagger Lee, Viola Lee Blues, Sitting on Top of the World, Hurts me too, Minglewood Blues, Going Down the road feeling bad, Bid you good night.
Grateful Dead also did a lot of "cowboy songs" such as Me and my Uncle, Mexicali blues, Big River, El Paso, Mama Tried, Monkey and the Engineer

OMG, talk about something I won't
watch in the next 100 years. I can't
STAND country music. Twangy
feel sorry for yourself bullcrap.

My man left me and woe is me
that I'm such a pitiful loser and
all I can do is wallow in self pity
and drink a lot of whisky. Rubbish.

There was a jukebox in the bar
and 80% of the songs were
country because that's what
drunks like to listen to. I was
forced to for 3 1/2 years and
it turned me permanently off
to the whole sickening genre.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Really enjoyed the 1st episode of Country Music covering Jimmy Rodgers
I had no idea he wrote one of my favorite songs, Muleskinner Blues.
I was fortunate to see Dolly Parton perform it live at Merlefest about 20 years ago
Here is a video of Dolly performing this great 1930's song with the late great Bill Monroe
Rhonda Vincent does a great version.
What a great song
