Do a few test mailings yourself every now and then find out which carrier is screwing up.

But if you could somehow perform a miracle like, I dunno, HIRING BASED ON TALENT / ABILITY, stamps would be a dime, carriers would be getting $30/hr will full free benefits, and all of this would be paid for by nothing more than saving the waste created by incompetence.

Perfect f#$%ing example...

So I got an owwie to day. Popped my shoulder out but while under pressure, as it was supporting me as I swung from the back of the truck into the front. It was one of those things that just happen all the GD time in one form or another, so whatever. But, you may remember me saying last year that I slipped and fell for the first time ever. And how the next day my shoulder just did not work. And how instead of concern I merely got scolded for not following like 3 different rules I had no way of knowing and was never told. So, knowing that twang, I dutifully reported it, just in case it froze up, and because I was 100% supposed to.

I get yelled at. "You were doing what?!" Apparently, you can't enter the rear from the front. You have to exit and walk around. Groovy in principle, but apparently they can't see the tonnes of shit we're stuffing into our trucks, so entering the rear is a literal impossibility (short of emptying the truck onto the street, which we can't do). Then I get yelled at for no other reason than "it's gonna take forever".

I pretty much just sat there. I was done by 1300, I wasn't put out. I got hurt, enough so that it wasn't a complete waste seeking attention. I'm right on that cusp anyway. So while she complained and scolded, I just kinda sat there and waited for it to be done.

But no. I figured I'd make myself an appt, put it right behind my dentist and I'll bang it all out tomorrow. Nope. I have to see "their" doctor. So I get even further into suburban hell to the ER. The type of ER that used by idiots for routine freaking s#$%. The kind that plop down right beside you even though there's 17 other open seats, but awkwardness isn't as painful as the 8 extra steps their retarded ass would have to make. Just the very worst kind of low class.

The E freaking R. You know what the ER is for? I'm 7 star there, I damn sure know. Forget your fancy jargon, its purpose is simple; it gives a simple, general diagnosis, and shores you up enough to go from their store and to someone who has time for your happy ass. That's it! And don't be mistaken thinking I'm here to rant on the simple folk. No, this is the USPS thread! It's all them ><

5 minutes. 5 minutes was all it would've taken. Tell me that all this comp horseshit is for if I'm ACTUALLY hurt. I'm coming to you for no other reason than cuz you chewed my ass off last time I "walked it off". That, and I'd just like a record in case it does freeze up and I miss a day. But tell me all this comp horses#$% that's taking you 70 minutes to process and then sends me to the ER for FIVE AND A HALF F#$%ING HOURS for a pointless xray and a diagnosis of "go home" is for EXTREME CASES where you are SERIOUSLY INJURED and could leave you out for 3 DAYS OR MORE. Take 30 f#$%ing seconds to tell me just that, and I'll laugh in your face before saying "I'm justletting you know in case it freezes up, and if it does, I'll be seeing a proper doctor that very day and will have my note". And, boom. F#$%ing done.

I just went to the ER out of pocket, if you remember. That was a thousand dollar adventure. So the GD USPS just paid a grand for a diagnosis of "go home", which is the exact diagnosis I would have given myself had they taken 45 seconds to start a maximum 5 minute conversation.

12/27/16. This is the day I decide this is not for me. And get ready to watch the saddest thread ever be born as I don't ever leave XO

You gonna leave the employ of your mortal enemy? Well, finish out the year and let us know what you do next. Personally I'd say stay a good bit longer and show some longevity of employment.

Face has a short memory, he forgets what
life was like with no job. Stay at the PO
till you find other work. Or just stay there.

Ha. I haven't forgotten. Jesus, no matter how hard I've tried...

I'm more stating it so I start to believe it and do something about it. I mean, it's the end. Even if I work 9 in the cold, if I'm off the road by dark it seems a victory. I'll be able to limp the rest of the way and then float through spring and summer no prob.

I just can't forget and think I can do this again next year.

Maybe Face can comment on the feasibility of my suspicions.

Turns out my nephew got his package on time -- within 3 business days. Priority Mail.

So, I'm wondering why tracking followed it from Jacksonville Fl, to New Hampshire and back to Jacksonville and back to New Hampshire. The tracking just shows it sitting in New Hampshire (still) saying delivery date will be issued eventually.

Here's my guess. After my package reached the NH postal destination, someone opened it, removed the item, put it in another priority box, sealed it and took it to my nephew's house. My box was then resealed and returned (under some official postal designation). When it reached Jacksonville, an accomplice filled the box with bags of cocaine (for example) and it was reshipped free back to NH where the second guy picked it up. So, maybe my nephew's postman is in a drug ring.

Well, Florida is a big drug conduit.

I have alternative explanations, but they are boring.

Ugh. Stop putting ideas into my head ;) Not sure how much help I can be; Postal Me is the antithesis of Casino Me, but since we're just wildly speculating...

I got nothin' lol, or at least nothing concrete. It very well could have made the trip back to Fla. Sometimes s#$% gets tossed in the wrong bin, or a clerk misreads an addy, or the carrier misbelieves the house isn't there and sends it back. Any of these mistakes could wind up with a boot and reshoot like you experienced.

Occam and all. I'd reckon some dumb issue happened like above in the Xmas scrum, and then the tracking portion was abandoned in interest of getting the box to your nephew asap. Coulda been the Express driver, coulda been the regular that just ran and dumped sans scanner. Either would result in a "no scan" until the supe catches it and manually enters it, hence it still showing in NH PO.

You can mail drugs straight up, with the proper packing procedures. I doubt someone would go with a convoluted scheme that raises the difficulty and tacks on additional federal charges to do so.

Someone very very close to me (maybe me but I am admitting nothing) regularly orders prescription drugs from far away places that are not allowed to ship to the U.S. On two occasions they have received letters from Customs and DEA saying that they have confiscated a package addressed to them and if they would like to claim it they should follow up with Customs/DEA. They were never stupid enough to claim it. The company shipping it understands the risks and just resends the package. I would say about 95% of them get through.

You should go claim one, film it, put it on YouTube for all to enjoy.
