I don't understand how they think they can
pay uneducated unproductive people, that
are low on the food chain, as much as they
pay an educated productive person, and
get away with it forever. Socialist countries
all do this. The Soviet Union did it and it broke
them, yet other countries keep doing it.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Look around, the liberals in the USA want to do this, and they are in some places. $15 minimum wage! Mandatory health insurance to all employees. Mandatory paid maternity leave. We are well on our way.
The President is a fink.

WIZARD : " Isn't it a biblical thing to have a debt jubilee (forgiveness) every seven years? "

In 2005 the USA bankruptcy reform act changed the time frame from 7 years to 8 years.

I used to have a foreign bank account out of Cyprus because I couldn't get paid by Bodog/Bovada through US banks. That bank was heavily vested in Greece, who defaulted on bond payments as I understand it, which led to a run on the Cyprus banks, which led to me losing a lot of money, which led to the sale of my Wizard sites.

Cyprus Joined the European Union: 1 May 2004 and joined the Economic Monetary Union on 1 January 2008 . Former Laiki CEO Efthimios Bouloutas admitted that his bank was probably insolvent as early as 2008, even as Cyprus was joining the Eurozone.

Were you getting paid in Cypriot Pounds or were all transactions after 2008?

I must admit I am enjoying following this "crisis". Sadly I think they will be loaned more money and we will be revisiting this in 5 years. Hopefully the Chinese market continues to tumble and gives me something to occupy my time.

Thus the reason they were eager to take money from Americans, which few foreign banks will do.

So do you own shares in the Bank of Cyprus now? Is there even a remote possibility of getting some of your money back in the future?
