I would not go back and back to a business that abused me so.

If you think it's abuse, you haven't known
real abuse. I was in the business, this type
of thing goes with the territory. Uber has
more of it because they don't vett drivers.
I can handle it, like I said, I find it entertaining.

Wait a minute! You have said forever how cabbies were more vetted and more professional. Now they aren't?

EB, why aren't you taking a taxi to the airport? I do understand not wanting to park at the airport but I would expect you to support the taxi business.
Until now I thought Bob was working undercover trying to crush Uber from the inside, doing his part to break the morale of the drivers. I had no idea he was riding with them to save money.

Let's play a trivia game. Which forum member said the following?

"The reason I would never call Uber is
I don't want to ride in some civilians
car who might be the worst driver
for a radius of 50 miles."

Hint:

He is likely to have been the one that said Walmart is so busy that no-one will go there.

I was there a couple hours ago, and I couldn't help noticing that almost everyone in the store was a senior citizen. From the Greeter to the cashiers to the customers. Just an odd high percentage of oldsters. Almost like an episode of Twilight Zone, with no one under 50.

My Uber to the airport this afternoon was
a middle aged guy from Malaysia who
barely spoke English. His phone was on
the dash on speaker, and he spent the
whole ride answering call after call and
shouting into the air in a totally gibberish
language. The. Entire. Trip.

I've had worse trips, at least he didn't try
and over charge me.

Tony Marcellus racked his brain to figure out a way to get his 67-year-old mother and 85-year-old grandfather out of their home five blocks from the ocean in West Palm Beach. He lives 600 miles away in Atlanta. He checked flights but found nothing and rental cars were sold out, so he settled on a modern method of evacuation.

He hired an Uber to pick them up and drive them 170 miles to Orlando, where he met them to take them to Atlanta. He gave the driver a nice tip.
"I have peace of mind now," said Marcellus' mother, Celine Jean. "I've been worried sick for days."

I hope the driver didn't shout a foreign
language into a phone the whole way.

Got picked up at the airport by a nice
guy from the Dominican Republic. He
actually got out of his car and opened
the trunk for my bag and opened my
door. No other Uber has ever done that,
acted like professional driver.

He said he hears passenger complaints
all the time about bad Uber drivers, almost
every day. It's a weeding out process, the
bad ones don't last long.
