Here is what Uber Eats looks like .

This is the sign of true decadence
when you pay a taxi to deliver
fast food to you because you're
too lazy to get off your ass and
get it yourself.

I agree, but hopefully it will keep some of the drunks and pot smokers from driving.

Once in a blue moon, saw it a couple
times in 10 years. The average person
just doesn't have that kind of money
to waste.

Another W African driver yesterday. Seemed
really pissed we weren't going on a longer
trip. $12 bucks worth is plenty long for me.
He kept looking at his phone and then
trying to turn the wrong way. He had no idea
how to use the GPS and he would barely
listen to me tell him the way to go.

Once in a while we will order pizza delivered. I never really considered it decadent, but maybe, if it is really really good pizza. The tip we give the driver isn't much more than what it would cost me in fuel to go get it.

Sometimes we will even order Chinese food delivered, when we have company and no one feels like cooking up a several course meal and doing the cleaning afterwards.

If it is decadent, we have earned it.

On the other hand, I don't think it's right for McD's or Taco Bell to be able to accept EBT. So we each have a gripe.

Having a pizza place deliver and having
a taxi do it are two different things.

Yeah, the taxi route sounds really expensive and like already said, that would make fast food even yuckier. I look at fast food as punishment. Homemade is most always the best.

When I was a kid, going out to eat was something special. I do realize now how well my mother prepared food.

But even fast food was better?

Taxi and motorbike delivery services are booming in the USA, the UK and Europe.
You can make any arguments here that you want but its obvious that the most significant people are voting with their wallets.
Restaurants no longer need their own delivery services.

All the news outlets are reporting the terrorist
who mowed down all the people in NYC is
an Uber driver. Given some of the drivers
I've had since Ap, I totally believe it. They
have no practically no vetting process at all.

Its the equivalent of saying someone is a day laborer or a temp agency worker.
Its meaningless.
