I think you can turn off the lane alarms thing, although my typical experience in the newest vehicles, is where the hell is the button for this at.

Probably under 5 layers of menus. I lucked out and my latest car has no screen, all easy controls. Alas, it will probably be the last I can get away with on that.

I rent new cars every week, but never
SUV's. They seem to be the ones with
the annoying features. What all the
cars have is the annoying back-up
screen, like you need that to back up
the car.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

That screen is required on all vehicles. I would have thought the features would be similar on both. I rent a car like once every 5-10 years.

The lane changing buzzer was the first
I've seen and I rent every kind of car.
I didn't know what it even was for the
first 5 times it went off.

I may see one in 10 years. When you cannot afford to buy new, you wait. I just got bluetooth the first time last year. That is a nice thing.

If you use your turn signal when changing lanes, through alarm will not go off.

I didn't have the thing long enough to
notice. I was too busy cursing every
time it went off.

Our new microwave is like that. It beeps to let us know when we have opened the door. If something times out, can't let it sit in the micro longer than a minute, or it starts beeping.

The only time I have had the lane change alarm feature was when I drove a friends Tesla. He said it could be turned off. If it couldn't be turned off it would drive me crazy. On the quiet and twisty roads that I drive I often "canyon drive". The damned thing would never shut up.

Just arrived in Albany New York. Got out of the airport and pushed my Uber app. It said no cars available! Luckily there were two regular cabs sitting there and available. I guess the price point herehas gotten to the point where there is no one who wants to sit around waiting near the airport.
