But of course Jesus was talking about the Jewish religion here, his religion. There was no Xtionity yet. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | There's a bee's nest in the roof of my front porch. There's a small separation on the inside of the overhang where they enter. I got a can of hornet spray, I've used it over the years. I was sitting on the porch this evening watching them fly home to the nest because it was getting dark. They have done nothing to me yet, I felt bad about killing them. just because they're a bother to me. They're just doing what they do, very organized. Going about their business. So I spared them. I didn't learn this from some god. It's just a respect for other living things. It has nothing to do with god or morality. It's a life thing. Of course if I get stung even once, they're all dead. I'm not a saint. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

They either want to fulfill themselves, or to hide from who they really are. Unfortunately we have too many of the latter these days. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

That's very close to some Eastern philosophy that says if you can speak it, it's not the truth. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It's interesting the phases the Trinity went thru before it was finalized. They picked at it and picked at it before they finally threw up their hands and said they didn't understand it well enough to explain it. They invented something impossible and then tried to explain it and couldn't. That a being can be fully god and fully man. He can be god pretending to be man, or man pretending to be god, but not both at the same time. Jesus was man pretending to be god, there is no proof otherwise. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

That last sentence could be taken more as a warning, than solace. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |
