Unlike you I don't stop discussing something or block someone when I have been proven wrong. I just forgot about your post, sorry about that.

I didn't block you because I was wrong,
I got tired of your attitude towards me
in PM's. You've never proven me wrong,
what are you talking about. That would
mean you proved Hawking and Asimov
and Einstein wrong too, and they were
still atheists when they died.

Come on Bob, you know that's not true. My attitude to you in PMs has always been more considerate than I feel I've been publically. Especially lately I've been pretty harsh on you on the forum. I don't know where you get this crazy idea, but since you've brought it up I've relooked at stuff and only saw very positive messages about how good you are.

Anyway, it is not me proving those smart guys are wrong about God. It is logic, philosophy, and reason. They were awesome scientists but if they really didn't believe in God they were wrong.

Uh Huh. You just did it again in
the other thread, calling me 'childish'
and 'like a little kid'. It's baiting
of the most obvious kind and I
usually ignore it for what it is.

That's what I got tired of in your
PM's, the constant 'you putting
me in my place', like somebody
made you the authority figure
in every conversation.

We are both acting like little kids on this forum. Why don't we call a truce. I want to continue our discussion but for both of our sakes why don't we just ask each other questions and allow the other person to answer? No more commentery, snide remarks, baiting, just questions to each other. Maybe it will help us be more cordial and better able to learn.

Sure, I can do that. Lets see how that works.

Had an almost bad event today. I won't
go into details but it involved my dog.
Everything turned out OK, though it
almost gave me a heart attack.

My point is, I realized later that I never
thought of god once during or after
the crisis. God has nothing to do with
anything. It was resolved by my actions
and would have been my fault if it
hadn't worked out.

My wife's family would still be thanking
god and praying their behinds off. Never
even occurred to me. It's an old wives tale
that there are no atheists in foxholes.

I'm really glad it worked out and it sounds like you and your dog are okay.

But the point is, if you're really an atheist,
under times of stress god is not an issue,
it never comes up. I think for myself, I
don't need a god crutch in between me
and what I need to do. My wife's first
response is always to start praying, ask
god what to do. Screw that, it's a waste
of valuable time in an emergency, just
do what you need to do.

God is always okay being hidden.

By the way do you think Christians usually stop, knell, pray a Holy hour in the midst of an emergency? I don't know why or where this attack is coming from? Let's leave sleeping dogs lie.

By the way have you read any of Jack London's novels?

For atheists, god is really really hidden. Bigfoot
and Lochness Monster hidden. Leprahchan
hidden.
