If you look at those videos of people screaming their lungs out when the Tesla driver pushes the button, it makes me think that a plane that produces 1.5g will be unacceptable to most rich fat people and the lawyers who represent Airbus.

You get more than that on a rollercoaster. But think what people do on rollercoasters.

On a drop, you get close to zero g. On a loop you get perhaps 1.2-1.3 g. Where designers need to watch out is with lateral g, as that can cause symptoms similar to a concussion (because the brain pushes the side of the cranium). With all that, the g changes last only a few seconds. A rocket launch t space lasts nearly 10 minutes at high g.

Interesting request
Have a client in FUK Japan that needs to return to ORD Chicago on a Saturday in March
Orthodox Jewish so have to be aware of avoiding sundown at any connecting point
and
has to arrive in Chicago with enough time to avoid sundown on drive home

Due to daylight savings time, got a reasonable priced flight
If he was returning next few weeks. problem due to early sundown

I needed a good one way business class price
FUK to HND 1PM 235PM JAL
HND MSP 425PM 128PM DL
MSP ORD 324P 457P DL

$3057.86 USD

I usually avoid changing planes in China unless pax is travelling to or from China

When you have a choice of nearly identical flight times do you choose by price, or do corporations let the passenger specify the airline that gives them the frequent flyer miles they want?

Option Delta
4:25 PM – 13:27 PM Tokyo (HND) – Minneapolis (MSP) Delta 120 · Boeing 777 11h 02m Layover in Minneapolis MSP 2h 48m
3:24 PM – 4:57 PM Minneapolis (MSP) – Chicago (ORD) Delta 1717 · MD-90 1h 30m

Option United
4:25 PM – 8:45 AM Tokyo (HND) – San Francisco (SFO) United 876 · Boeing 777 9h 20m Layover in San Francisco SFO 1h 58m
10:43 AM – 4:47 PM San Francisco (SFO) – Chicago (ORD) United 624 · Boeing 777

Depends on the company
Some companies look closely at price and police their travelers
Some companies don't care and let the traveler make the call

I have 5 core company accounts that I handle
I also back up about 5 other company accounts
All the companies have different policies
Some companies only allow coach to Europe and that's where airline loyalty really comes in because they are hoping for that comfortable upgrade

Airbus has patented a triple engine design that could fly London to NYC in one hour.
Two turbo jets would propel the plane into the air in a vertical take-off. A rocket motor would then accelerate it through the sound barrier, taking it to 35 km altitude (well into the Stratosphere). Finally wing-mounted ramjets would push the Concorde 2 to its final cruising speed of Mach 4.5.

I think I will file a patent for pie in the sky.

Is anyone else concerned about basic economy?

The aims is for these fares to compete with ULCCs on price, while legacy carriers still would offer better service. But the latter mostly means frequencies, connections, and, on some, free snacks, and seat-back IFE and WiFi. But you still do without carry-on luggage, assigned seats, frequent flier programs, upgrades, schedule changes, etc.

If this were all it was, I'd spare no further thought on it. But these things tend to creep along. What's a special fare for a special reason now, can easily become the regular fare. Already you pay more for certain seats, why not charge for every seat? Or why not charge for all carry-on?

There isn't any incentive to do so now. But let the trump train wreck move in, or a spike in fuel prices, and all the tools are right there.

Not to mention that passengers keep wanting lower fares.

The last in itself is ok, but in mass-transit industries it tends to drag everything down.

Actually had to put the orthodox Jewish client on a much earlier double connection in coach one way around 900.00 for price and a arrival around noon.
Speaking to him, arriving at about 5pm , lives about 30 min from airport and sundown at about 7pm
He just could not risk getting in late.
This guy is serious. He had a lot of questions about baggage size and weight because he also packs a lot of kosher food.
