I think liberals actually give intentions more weight that results in many cases. They love talking about doing things. That is why they are over-represented in places like colleges and gravitate towards government. You get to talk about things forever in both places. In the real world actions and results are what matters.

Sooner or later reality will hit.

Don't be silly! They'll never go after him. Trump could announce tomorrow that he's converting to Islam and they'd be like "Ohhhh, what a brilliant inclusive move. So Presidential!!"

Trump ALWAYS gets the benefit of the doubt in their minds.

You have to believe that Islam is the most militant of the world's religions.

While it is true that Christianity has been invoked in many wars throughout history, at it's core the teachings of Jesus were entirely aimed at the Jewish people saying “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

If I am not mistaken he only spoke to a non-Jew once in his life during his only brief visit just outside of Jewish territory to the nearby cities of Tyre and Sidon.

He has tried to ban people from problem countries entering the USA, so I would count that as understanding the problem.

They were pretty common sense speeches regarding the Muslim world
I though the speech he gave in Saudi Arabia was pretty good.
