However, I have never put anything up for sale on ebay, even though I have purchased things listed there before. Is a no reserve auction on ebay the best way to sell a small collectible item valued ~$600? Of course, I would like to maximize the money going into my pocket, and understand that there are fees, but is the wider audience that ebay is supposed to have worth the cost vs. other auction sites or an ad in Craig's list? At the end of the day, how can I get the most mullah in my pocket? |

I sold thousands and thousands and thousands of items there and I found a five day auction is best. Do your research, look up your item under completed auctions, see how much it went for, how many bids it got. This will tell you a lot about how to list your item. If it doesn't do well with other sellers, it won't do well when you sell it either. This is your biggest tool on Ebay, previous auctions of your item. So take lots of good pics, describe it well, do LOTS of research, answer any questions promptly. Ship as soon and you can and pack it really well. I did extremely well selling full time on Ebay for 10 years, and quit 8 years ago. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
