This is Tarzan's 118th credit in a century on IMDB starting from 1918

Tarzan of the Apes (magazine publication 1912, book publication 1914) as a book just barely predated his first film version.

OMG, I loved Tarzan as a kid. I read all
the books, saw all the Weismuller movies,
he's the orig super hero. Predates Batman,
Superman, all of them. He's an organic
hero. What kid today has ever read Tarzan
of the Apes? I did, in 1959. I read all of
them.

If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

I recall that Tarzan stuff and the later calls by various ministers to boycott the films because Tarzan and Jane were clearly living together without benefit of clergy. Meanwhile, I read simple mechanics, physics, plane geometry works on the South Sea Bubble and on the Tulip Bulb Bubble.

I don't know if anybody will know what I am talking about, but there were some Tarzan movies out for a while in the 60s or so that I thought were pretty good, not that they ever got much attention. They seemed to get some of their material from the Tarzan of the comic books, who was a completely different creature from the Weismuller genre. This latter type always comes back to dominate, and judging from the trailer, will win out again with all that jungle vine leaping and such [this time heavy with the CGI]

The villain will be some dude propagating global warming I can imagine.

I watched most of the Tarzan movies on Saturdays in the afternoons.

I think they should remake it as a comedy with a black actor. Obviously the gimmick is, he shows up but all the natives hardly notice him, but he goes on acting like Tarzan.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

The Tarzan movie with Bo Derek was one of the first R-rated movies I ever saw. It is still very imprinted in my head.

So you were almost age 17, and I was already age 17 (Lenny) when we saw R rated films. That was still before premium cable TV (at least in my case).

I wonder what the average age is today, and are the kids bored after perusing porn on the internet?
