Not how the NT uses it, there's
nothing but confusion. To the
point that some think it's the
wrong word entirely, that it
was changed along the way.

There are about 7 times the NT uses the word. When referring to God it is obvious what it means. When referring to us it means those who are close to God and strive to follow Him wholeheartedly. It also at least once refers to the ongoing completion of something like in Phil. 1:6. I don't see the big confusion you are referring to.

Not all of them no.

I'm guessing almost none of them.
Ed took Latin for 8 years, to speak
it, read it and write it. They prayed
in Latin, all masses were in Latin.
He had a theology class where
the teacher spoke only Latin in class.

When you went to seminary, I
read the most they offered was
a Latin class for one year. Many
don't offer any Latin at all.

You can memorize a mass in Latin,
but to understand every word you're
saying takes years and years of
study. Seminaries are a breeze
now compared to pre Vatican II.

You had a demerit system? I read
most seminaries got rid of the
strict guidelines after Vatican II.
It was very loose in the 70's and
80's and then got more strict in
the 90's, but nothing like it was
pre Vatican II. When Ed
was a priest, he wasn't allowed
to get a magazine subscription
and could only see Church approved
movies.

To you it means that, other Bible
people say it means something
else. Still others say they don't
know what it means, it's a
paradox. The correct answer
is it's the wrong word, that's why
it's so confusing.

What do these other people say it means? How could they not know what it means? Why do you think it is the wrong word?

Sounds kind of "Zen" like.

Are there an equal amount of occurrences of other Christian denominations involved in child abuse as there are Catholic, or is the media just singling them out?

It's really getting out of control,
all these 'holy' hypocrites in
positions of power abusing
people beneath them. It makes
their religion and their concept
of god a joke. The whole Church
stinks from the top down..

On Friday, Francis accepted the resignation of the Honduran deputy to Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, who is one of Francis' top advisers. Auxiliary Bishop Juan José Pineda Fasquelle, 57, was accused of sexual misconduct with seminarians and lavish spending on his lovers that was so obvious to Honduras' poverty-wracked faithful that Maradiaga is now under pressure to reveal what he knew of Pineda's misdeeds and why he tolerated a sexually active gay bishop in his ranks.

FrG totally ignores a crisis and in
own church and instead is terrified
of a Trump tweet? Shows where his
priorities are..

Hard to imagine what it's like working there? Surely they get updates about the company position to their inbox? I would have to quit on principal alone.
