1/3 pound until they've cook all the fat out and it's less than 1/4 pound. The so called quarter pounder is about 3oz after it's cooked. A burger loses 25% of it's weight in cooking from water and fat loss. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It might be the silver bullet MCD is looking for. They keep looking for new items to raise their price points, but MCD is in the end the Big Mac place. So why not just bump the price there? The President is a fink. |

A quarter pounder weighs 3oz, a 1/3 pounder weighs 3.96oz cooked. I can't see .96 oz making any visible difference unless the flatten the crap out of it to make it look bigger. The burgers I make at home are 8oz each and they really aren't all that big after cooking. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

1oz can make a huge difference in perceived value. 1/4 is average 1/3 is a nice sized burger. Of course there is a limit. I will probably keep with the classic size because if I want bigger I go to Red Robin for a better burger. However, many people will probably trade up. The President is a fink. |
