I left around an hour before nominal quitting time, so i guess that was half a day off of sorts. But there was no traffic going home, there's that. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I think all religions have holidays around the solstice since this supposedly nasty brutish and short life without the Church seemed to allow a lot of time for astronomy and general contemplation. Just as the Jews elevated some minor Chanukah stuff and gave it a weird spelling the Blacks created a weirdly-spelled holiday but the Jews and the Blacks did it solely to dampen the 'Real People are Christians' movement and undermine the stance that this is a Christian country. Now we all know that when the British say they will have dinner courtesy of "The Indian" what they are probably referring to is the local Pakastani take out, but no one really cares about historical accuracy about these things. |

I read about it and Americans living there warned tourists to stay away, the robbery rate is sky high. Robbing American and EU tourists is a cottage industry, apparently. I would pray for FrG, but I don't believe in prayer or the Easter Bunny. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

It's an 1897 Priest's Sick Call Outfit. They would take this the home of the sick and dying and frighten people to death with superstitious mumbo jumbo. The glass bottle says 'holy water, keep full at all times'. It's pretty neat, I may keep it for display. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Evenbob Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 146 Posts: 25011 | Here's the question. Do you think Allah is the same god as your god, Yahweh? If not, does that mean you think there are two gods? And if you say your god is the only god, does this mean you're an atheist as far as Allah is concerned? If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

My God is the only God but it does not mean that I am anything remotely close to an atheist. An atheist's illogical starting point is that there is no God. That dooms them to failure right at the start. A Muslim knows that there is a God and is searching to find God. While I think they are incorrect their instinct to search for God is the fundamental characteristic of humanity. So no I am always as far away from atheism as I can get. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

So where is Allah, then. If you say he doesn't exist, for that god you are an atheist. Prove Allah does not exist. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
