That's the crux of the problem. Police are supposed to protect the rights of the citizens, not to violate them. What they do in this case is outright oppression. Same as what they keep doing in many other cases. We keep hearing how it's not all police who are like this, how it's just "a few bad apples." But if police blatantly guilty of wrong-doing are protected, succored and shielded from accountability or even oversight, then it's the whole system that's rotten and needs to be replaced or reformed. I never watch the halftime show unless it is an older act I actually know and like. Heck, I have not watched one play of NFL this year. The President is a fink. |
