I think the most convenient date for me will be March 12 at the Valley View casino near San Diego. I'm surprised they have a venue big enough. Any Rieu fans interested in joining me? I would hate to go by myself. Nareed will be happy to know he is playing in Mexico City Sep 18 and 19. Full Concert Scedule Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

He is a violinist (is that a word?) and conductor from Holland. He is known for playing classical music the masses tend to be familiar with. His shows tend to mix in modern music too. At one show they played Yakety Sax (the Benny Hill theme). His signature piece is the Blue Danube Waltz. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

He did a clinic for my son's school orchestra a couple years ago and then they did a concert afterward. He's kinda full of himself but really puts on a great show. I'm not particularly fond of Trans-Siberian's way of putting a pop spin on Classical music (it sounds tinny to me) but when you put a Classical spin on rock and pop it makes it awesome. Enjoy the show! This space for rent |

For modern music using an orchestra, there are such things like Vangelis and the Alan Parson's Project. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Hmmmm...the day he's in Phoenix is the day AFTER spring break ends for the private school here! My husband usually takes No 3 son to Spring Training so he'll be out there but the week before. The public school break isn't until April. We used to do Grapefruit League (where Rieu will be during the break) before we had kids but switched to Cactus League when we bought the place in AZ. Salt River is a great facility! This space for rent |

I've been trying to figure out when I last attended a concert. It must have been in the 80s, maybe, perhaps very early in the 90s, but I'm 99% certain my older brother was dating then, and he got married early... Hmm. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

It's hard to say from the still that's displayed in the post. I'd play the video, but I can't at work, and it slows down my home PC to a Mac crawl. Anyway, chances are I won't. If it's a "classical" music specific venue, then it's most likely Bellas Artes, the OFUNAM Hall or the National Auditorium. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
