| Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | With an estimated production budget of $2 million, this film is the latest in successful low budget horror films like The Blair Witch Project (1999) , Paranormal Activity (2007), Halloween (1978), and Friday the 13th (1980). Oh yes, the boy in the film is only age six, and unlike Bad Santa he is not present when his screen mother goes ballistic and starts cursing at him. They put an adult on their knees in the room, as they didn't want the child to have nightmares. The ending is peculiar as well. I don't want to spoil it, but it seems to take a cliche and turn it on it's head. |
