The fact that Trump's victory will always have two HUGE asterisks next to it really bothers righties like EvenBob, as is evidenced by posts like this. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Hmm, weren't the liberals crying about Hillary's emails not being a crime along the same lines as you are now blaming EB for here? Trump won in a landslide and the liberals simply cannot handle it. Now they are blaming Putin. They should really be looking inward at why their party has lost so much of the white vote as that is where the reason for their wipeout lies. The President is a fink. |

Obama certainly wasn't given respect for his "landslides." The difference was 2 or 3 states, and the margin of victory in those states was thin. If Hillary was attempting a crime of intentionally and knowingly sending classified emails but failed, it would be. But they didn't make that finding. You'd have to go with the Russian hack not being intentional to compare. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

I love how so many people are just running this 'it was a landslide' line that they are getting from 'their' media. And the next time they will claim they are independent thinkers too. It's -exactly- the behaviour they accuse the 'lefties' of doing. But it doesn't help the story of the great hope coming to save the nation, on the backs of a popular wave. ----- Unless you want to describe it as a landslide in the white, middle/working class voters. Then it probably was, and that explains a lot. ----- Complete aside. Been watching Robert Carlyle in 'Rise of Evil' as Hitler in his ascendancy to dictator. Fascinating stuff. And very un-Trump like. Bill Clinton lost 56% of the popular vote in 92 and got over 300 EC votes. They called that a landslide and nobody complained. Hillary's 232 electoral votes is the fewest electoral votes for any member of the Democrat Party since 1988. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Dalex64 Member since: Mar 8, 2014 Threads: 3 Posts: 3687 | Who said that, and were the talking about the electoral college, or the popular vote, where he won by almost 6 million votes? Checking the facts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1992 electoral college 370 clinton to 168 bush to 0 for ross perot. popular vote 44.9M to 39.1M to 19.7M by percent, that is 43.0%, to 37.4% and 18.9%. If someone called that a landslide, I would think it was much more justified than applying that term to the most recent election. "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts." Almost 58% didn't vote for Clinton, and they still called it a landslide because of the EC. More voted for Hillary than Trump and he got over 300 EC votes, another landslide. I hear it said on TV all the time. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
