Quite likely 60 seconds more than I will watch. Only parts I like are the obscure sports you might not otherwise see, none of those will be on over the air. Like the days of "Wide World of Sports." Basketball and gymnastics are just a meh to me. The President is a fink. |

I will watch just about all of it except basketball, tennis, and golf. I get enough of those the rest of the year. At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent. |

It is not worth the hassle to me to find a stream and watch on a little computer screen. It isn't that I want obscure, it is that those are all I really care about and I only care in a "well, what is this" way. I doubt I will see an hour of combine watching the whole two weeks. Interesting. How come in the modern era the main venue is completed like two minutes before the opening ceremony? :) I really don't care much for the Olympics. But the controversies can be fun to follow. This time they started way early. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

Pacomartin Member since: Oct 24, 2012 Threads: 1068 Posts: 12569 | Hungary's population has returned to what it was at the "Hungarian Revolution of 1956". They have been below replacement fertility level for over 3 decades. It has a GDP per capita similar to Poland and Greece. It's nominal GDP of the country is $138 billion or $118 billion if you are looking at stats from World Bank or IMF. The Hungarian forint is circulating some €12.2 billions, or €1,232 per capita. The official cost of the Rio Olympics remains at $12 billion, but could actually end up costing $20 billion. Does it seem crazy that Budapest is a finalist for the Olympic Games?
At least for LA many of these venues already exist. |

It's like staying at the Plaza... It's not much to look at, but it's already there and it's cheap. Note that Los Angeles' original bid for these games was defeated by Boston. However, Boston welched when they actually ran the numbers, and LA dusted off their old bid to represent the USA. |
