Or do you think all other myths and legends are made up by committee?

We are talking about a real historical event. A few guys who say they think they saw the Resurrected Jesus are not going to inspire what historically took place. Even the Scriptures themselves talking about doubting Thomas who will not believe until he actually sees the Lord and probes His wounds. There is simply no reasonable explanation for its spread, the devotion of its followers (including those who were generations after the Apostles, but had in their own lives experienced the Risen Lord), its growth through persecution, and its spread around the whole world as the largest religion besides the fact that Jesus truly rose from the dead and that He is the Son of God.

I imagine Jesus stubbed His toe. Does that mean He was not the Son of God?

Unless he stubbed his toe on purpose, then it was an accident. How could Jesus make an unintentional mistake?

From what I've read so far, Jesus never had any documented mistakes.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I don't know, I think in completely sharing in our humanity Jesus growing up skinned His knee, learned in school, knew what it was like to be abandoned by friends, be hungry and thirsty, cold and hot, He shared completely in our humanity including experiencing death.

No, we're talking about an uncorroborated event
not even written about till decades after it happened.

uncorroborated; not confirmed or supported by other evidence or information

That's because he was human, just as
his father was human, and he died
just like a human dies. And stayed
dead. Just like all the myths with a similar
story before him. Jesus grew into a
the ancient version of a superhero,
his story was embellished and
embellished until it bore no resemblance
to what really happened. I was reading
a good account on exactly how this
probably happened in the years before
the gospels were finally written, using
the urban legends that had grown out
of control. I was going to post a link,
but your brainwashing would have made
you scoff, why bother.

It's not brainwashing but experience, logic, and history that would make me scoff.

It's not brainwashing

That's what the brainwashed all say.. The
more we talk about the Jesus myth, the
more poppycockish it becomes. Like the
Santa myth, it doesn't hold up well under
scrutiny.

Santa myth would hold up just as well, except he has to come back EVERY year. Makes it too easy to debunk him.

Jesus only had to come back ONCE, which
every one of his followers, then, thought
was happening in their lifetime. Especially
Paul. This is something FrG never talks
about, the obvious failure of the return.

It's a myth, who cares. Good grief.
