51% of the people, according to the most accurate polling website in the universe, think Trump is more concerned what is best for himself than the country.

Have you seen his unfavorability rating? It keeps getting better for everyone who's not Golden Boy Trump.

I seriously don't see how it could be any different. The popular vote may not decide the winner, but it counts a lot more than Trump and his supporters seem to think it does. Since he was elected, he has done nothing to reach out to those who voted against him, never mind reaching across the aisle or even pretending to do so.

Not only that, but he has tried to implement policies that are unpopular both with the people who voted against him and among many of his supporters.

And that's before the whole series of scandals.

On the latter, it's almost funny how he tries to blame it all on leaks. As though wrongdoing is fine so long as he doesn't get caught.

Here's some advice for him and his misguided supporters: You can fool some of the people all of the time. You can fool all the people some of the time. But you can't fool all the people all the time.

Yeah, Trump leaving office now or soon would give the party a chance to recover, and with a competent president, a chance to actually accomplish something on their agenda. This will please the people in the middle that might be otherwise inclined to vote against a Republican in 2018, and the sooner Trump is out, the more time people would have to forget how terrible a leader he was and how much he managed to derail the Republican agenda.

The best thing that can happen for Dems is for Donald to stay just where he is and keep accomplishing absolutely nothing and dragging down the party for the next couple of years.

I agree. And it sounds completely contradictory to common sense, but yeah having Donald in charge helps the Dems, ironically enough. On the other hand, a President Pence would get a lot more accomplished which could also help motivate Dem voters to get to the polls. Either scenario is a win-win for the Dems. All we need is to flip 78,000 voters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. That's easily within the realm of possibility; it's not a crazy pipedream.

A losing scenario for the Dems would be for Hillary to run again. That would suck.

Saw somebody make a great point on Twitter:

If Donald's approval rating is already under 40, what happens if the economy stalls (it's been slowing for the past three months)?

I'll be stocking up on popcorn. EB, AZ, and YeahBaby will have to work overtime to keep finding ways to praise their dear leader.

Clinton was not liked at all at the
start, he was seen as a real hayseed.
People forget Trump isn't the only
president that had a rocky start.

Ok, so the poll numbers from RealClearPolitics, FiveThirtyEight, and Gallup are valid and believable.

Noted.

By the way, those three polling outlets have Trump's approval rating 5 to 7 points below Rasmussen.

WHO CARES! I never look at or pay attention
to polls in the start of any presidency.
Clinton was reelected and he had lower
polls than Trump in his first 6 months.
Polls are meaningless at this time. In
fact, it's better to be doing badly at this
point, as Clinton proved. You have no place
to go but up.

So polls are meaningless at this time, but it is better to be doing badly at this point in those meaningless polls. Got it.
