Imagine if Hillary was President right now.... Nothing would be getting done with the GOP congress. Dems would be disillusioned. The GOP would make big gains in 2018 midterms. Possibly even a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

Then they could have nominated a decent Republican in 2020 and won the Presidency and held onto their huge margins in the Congress.

As it is now with the most hated President ever at this point, Dems will definitely make gains in the House in 2018. The Senate, while still an awful map for Dems in 2018, won't be the bloodbath it could have been.

Maybe Trump is a blessing in a very very very ugly disguise for Dems?
