You actually think that? Wow.

I agree that a lot of humor is mean-spirited. But society has evolved to where some subjects are no longer acceptable targets. For instance, "blonde jokes." They're sexist and offensive, while often, admittedly, very funny. But I think that sort of joke is a LOT less funny when you're part of the group that is being targeted and stereotyped. If you have consideration for the feelings of others, you weigh the pleasure that making such a joke might give you against the hurt you may cause someone who hears it. I personally know an extremely smart blonde woman who has told me that she hated jokes like that, and I can understand why. She dyed her hair brown once and people actually started treating her like she was smarter.

I have a simple rule, which I know Trumpers don't follow, that I shouldn't obtain pleasure by causing someone else pain--even potentially.

What awful episodes in your life have made you so hostile? You haven't said one substantive thing on this forum (or, likely, any other). All you've done is attack other posters, including, apparently, some mythical ghost that haunts you. Do you have anything worthwhile whatsoever to say?
