The Trump implosion thread!

James Clapper said a few weeks ago:

“We did not include anything in our report … that had any reflection of collusion between members of the Trump campaign and the Russians,” he said on NBC’s Meet the Press. “There was no evidence of that included in our report. We had no evidence of such collusion.”

Comey just doubled down on that today.
Been investigating since last July and no
evidence, none.

It's so curious that every aspect of this
investigation has been leaked to the
press, except the evidence itself. Where's
the blue dress, where's the hard evidence,
why hasn't that been leaked. The answer
is obvious: There isn't any to leak.

Trump and Sessions know there's no
evidence and none came out today.
Charles Grassley tweeted that Comey
told him recently that there is no specific
investigation of a Trump/Russia connection
because there's not the slightest whiff of evidence
to investigate. This is a set up by Trump
and Sessions so Comey can come back
in 6 weeks and proclaim the investigation
is over. It's just another trump chess move.

I'm surprised, Fox gave all of 90 seconds
to the non story of Comey and congress.
They spent far more time on the hearing
in the Senate for the new supreme. But
really, what was there to report with
Comey, it was a bunch of nothing.

Krauthammer just said what I was talking
about earlier. The whole point of Comey
coming out with news that there is an
investigation is, he now absolutely has
to come out and say when the investigation
is over and they found nothing. It's a chess
move by Trump, it's how you make this
nonsense go away. 8 months of looking
at this and they have bupkis, look for
it to end in the next few weeks.

Donald got checkmated!

Trump shows no signs of having learned any lesson either. And I don't think he's capable of it. It's pathological.

All he can do is behave for short periods then it gets the best of him.

Ummmm.... Donald being a liar is old news..... That is not checkmate at all. The American people realize that DJT is a liar, lacking in self control, vindictive, petty, etc. Just a little bit better than HRC. But better. And they LIKE his agenda, if not him. They want a wall (in concept). They want a travel ban (in concept). They want secure borders (in concept). They want his Supreme Court nominee (not HRC's). They want Obamacare repealed (or at last changed). Etc...
In summary, America does not care about DJT's personal weaknesses. Until they prevent him from getting his agenda instituted, which is why they elected him, all the blather about Russia and his instability and his idiotic tweets is like spitting into the wind.

Hey, he's setting all sorts of records. Lowest approval rating, highest disapproval rating, fastest serious and deep investigation of an administration. What more do you want?

Actually, even on election day, the majority of Americans didn't like his agenda.

Because he won by electoral votes not popular margin.

Had he picked up the popular margin you could say that.
