Can you imagine how outraged the crazy righties would have been if Obama did that??!?! It would be seen as some sort of secret Muslim sign and definitive proof that Obama was trying to take down the U.S. from the inside.

I don't know if they ever did a poll with this question for Obama or not, but for Trump, a majority now think that he doesn't keep his promises.

In two months, the percentage of people who thinks he keeps his promises has dropped 17 points, from 62% to 45%

From the dates of the polling (April 5-9), it precedes him officially breaking his promise to label China as a currency manipulator. He already broke his "day 1" promise of that, and his "day 4" promise (where Monday after the weekend was really day 1) but now he said he isn't going to do it at all.

That's very likely true. I bet if you ask them, they'll know healthcare policy and things like China's relationship with North Korea are not at all simple.

Turns out the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson wasn't actually headed to the Sea of Japan.

Timeline -
April 8 - Carl Vinson departs Singapore. It was reported that it was heading toward the Korean Peninsula.
April 11 - Whitehouse asks about Carl Vinson
April 15 - Navy publishes a photo of the carrier, headed south through the Sundra Strait, headed for joint naval operations with the Australian navy in the Indian Ocean (see map in link)

They have now turned it around and it is heading towards Korea.

I have a few questions about this -
Did the administration lie about ordering the ship toward Korea, what amounts to an empty threat or hoping that the threat of the ship going there would be enough intimidation to get what they wanted, without actually sending it there?
Did the navy get an order to send it there?
Did they ignore it, or defer execution of the order until later?
Did the administration forget to make the order, or not make the order in a proper way so it made its way through the official channels?
