"The Republican National Committee set another fundraising record of $13.4 million in the month of June, bringing their total 2017 fundraising effort to an impressive $75.3 million."

Probably just someone like Sheldon Adelson, trying to influence public opinion in favor of Trump by throwing money in their pot.

I think they have raised so much money because they are scared. They know the races are going to be closer, so they know they will need more money to run them.

I was watching Fox channel tonight. Many of the talking heads are sure railing against the Trump investigation.

No fair to look any farther into Trump's affairs than necessary.

When did the rightwing stop liking rummaging through their opponent's affairs looking for rubbish or crimes? Ever?

Or just when Trump got elected?

Besides, there is nothing to find. Right?

More hypocrisy

Trump said that under his leadership the country would “follow two simple rules: buy American, and hire American.”

President Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida has asked permission to hire 70 foreign workers this fall

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/07/20/during-made-in-america-week-president-trumps-mar-a-lago-club-applies-to-hire-70-foreign-workers/

15 housekeepers, 20 cooks and 35 waiters

One of the steps is to advertise locally. They don't have to advertise nationally.

Stephen Colbert did have a wonderful one liner on his show.

Donald Trump JR said in retrospect he would have done things differently last summer in meeting with Russian lawyer. Hindsight is 20-20.

Colbert agreed that American voters would see things differently in 2020.

Brutal.

In 6 months President Trump has tweeted 991 times, spent 40 days at Trump golf properties and passed 0 pieces of major legislation.

It does occur to me that many people think that Trump tweeting 8000 times, spending 320 days at Trump golf course and not passing any major legislation is about as good as it can get for four years.

That outcome has been mentioned here and in other places...if you get nothing done, it could even bring you votes from the people happier with the status quo than the outcomes promised by the other party's candidate.

Trying to "fix" anything that is even halfway considered an entitlement is like grabbing the bare ends of a hot electric cord...there is a shocking amount of resistance even if everyone knows the entitlement is broken in any way. Not fixing them is to the detriment of our nation as a whole, but that matters not a whit to the average politician intent on remaining entrenched in office.

But he isn't getting 'nothing done'. So far
he's cancelled over 600 job killing Obama
EPA regulations, with many more coming.
He's getting a lot done, screw the 'major'
legislation. Obama kept the economy
strangled with his executive orders. Besides,
I'm with Mark Twain and Will Rogers who
thought the country benefits most when
congress was on vacation. They can't screw
anything up, like was done with that 'major'
legislation Obummercare.

Trump's Presidency will not be considered
successful unless he gets something done
by some other means but Executive Order or
other Executive Branch means.

Memory is short; not so long ago we (those
who might not have been Obama fans) were
chiding him for governing by EO and not doing
much after the ACA. Now you are saying that
Trump is getting a lot done by reversing/
eliminating and implying that should be considered
success.

I guess one has to decided which one is true...
you can be a success governing by EO or you cannot.

We can't have it both ways. No matter what Rush says.
