That's a huge sign of how well Trump is viewed if a Repub can come that close in a rabid blue state that had Terry McJerkWad as gov for the last term. Nobody but nobody thought the Dem would lose, but it was really close, considering.. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

The current Virginia governor won the 2013 race 47.8% to 45.2% with 3rd place getting 6.5% The results for the 2017 election are 53.9% to 45% to 1.1% So, they actually widened their margin of victory.
