For once we want the same thing. Like Ann Coulter says, the more the better. The bigger asses they make out of themselves, the better it will be in 2020. The American people want things improved in their lives, endless investigations that go nowhere are Trump's ticket for 2020. Speaking of Meuller, did you see the questions he's asking in written form? They're nothing burgers, and Trump's lawyers are answering them. "Did you collude with Russia?' No. lol Mueller has nothing, always had nothing. Same with any investigation that comes along. They can ask for Trump's tax records till the cows come home, no law says he has to turn them over, and the American people could care less anyway. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

SOOPOO Member since: Feb 19, 2014 Threads: 22 Posts: 4157 | cough... Gotta agree with EB. The Dems focusing on investigating Trump will not help them in 2020. It will look (and be) like the Dems don't want to actually do anything to help the country. They will look even more petty than they do now. Please, do what you were elected to do..... LEGISLATE for the good of the country. Get together with the Repub Senate and put pressure on Trump to sign something on his desk. If the Dems isolate themselves and do nothing but 'investigate' it won't be good for them at the election booth. |

Democrats will look petty, compared to what? To however Trump is acting for the next two years? Now that's funny. I've watched for signs in the last 2 years that Trump has the self-control to hold himself together for more than a few days. He doesn't. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

The republicans openly stated position during the Obama administration was to do whatever they could to make sure it wasn't successful. Party before country. Because of that, Democrats a very low bar to get over. If they manage to get ANY bipartisan measures sent to the white house, it will be seen as a major success. They have a chance now, outside of the investigations that they no doubt will launch, to show that they are better than the republicans. I hope they can put country before party. I expect two years of gridlock. The republicans in the Senate can't allow the Democrats any successes, for the good of their own party. In the past 17 years, the U.S. taxpayers have spent $718.6 billion on the war in Afghanistan. During Obama's administration, 1,762 Americans died in Afghanistan. It's possible that Obama did an honorable job managing a difficult war. On the contrary, it's also possible that Obama was an incompetent, clueless, commander in chief who didn't know what he was doing. So you'd think Congressional Republicans would launch a dozen investigations to get to the bottom of this. But they didn't. The Republicans never investigated what led to 1,762 American deaths in Obama's war. There were zero Congressional investigations. Republicans don't like talking about Afghanistan. They'd rather talk about Benghazi. 4 Americans died in Benghazi. Here is a list of Congress' investigations into 4 deaths in Benghazi: The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Sept 2013) The Senate Committee On Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs (Dec 2012) The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (Jan 2014) The House Committee on Foreign Affairs (Jan 2013) The House Committee on the Judiciary (April 2013) The House Committee on Armed Services (Feb 2014) The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (Nov 2014) |

Because of their TDS. They cannot get over the guy. They are almost totally open that they think their hate for him is an impeachable offense. And they do not want any success for the other party when in power. This is a Democrat game at all levels. Back in upstate NY there was a GOP measure to put in some kind of a bus shelter. The Democrat rep killed it! Her voters would have gotten the most use out of it, but she could not have someone else getting the credit for it! Hillary Clinton once did not want the minimum wage tied to inflation. Why? Because the Dems needed the issue every few years to beat the GOP over the head with. Go back to the 1950s and see where JFK and LBJ voted against civil rights legislation because Ike was POTUS, not a Dem. Look for the House to just investigate and pass DOA legislation the next two years. The President is a fink. |

That's it totally. They can't help themselves, they're so convinced Trump did something they can get rid of him for. The problem is, to get him impeached by the Senate, it has to be an actual crime committed while he was in office. You can't impeach for a crime that happened as a civilian. And even then, a party is never going to throw out their own guy. I seriously hope the House impeaches him or tries to. This will fire up the base to red hot. Look what they tried to do to Kavanaugh, that turned out the Right wing base in the midterms in historic numbers. June 2019 is when the 2020 election race kicks off, that's only 7 months away. I think the Dems are really stupid enough to make Trump the center of the news cycle attention with impeachment hearings. Like he isn't the center already, lol. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
