The best explanation for Trump winning is that expression Shit Happens.

Sometimes you just can't do anything about it. The water mains break, the tree falls on the house, the dog gets killed by a bear, you get food poisoning.

Even adults don't listen to reason. What was it, 58 million? Yup.

Is the world better because the huckster fooled people? .

Trump is a huckster clown, Bush was an idiot
moron. Yet somehow they get elected. It's
odd that so many people who met Bush
at the WH for the first time say it was like
talking to an encyclopedia, his knowledge
of what was going on was so extensive and
detailed. Nobody ever came away saying
he was a idiot. It's what the Left does,
they brand all on the Right as morons. Nixon
was a dope, Reagan was a simpleton, Bush
was a dunce, Trump is a clown. It's schoolyard
politics and it works on their dumbed down base
every time.

They branded Hillary as the smartest woman on
the planet in the 90's and she lost badly twice.
And the FBI is not close to being done with her.
Pretty stupid for somebody so supposedly smart.

Trump didn't play nice with Paul Ryan or John McCain, and most GOP Congressmen continued to support Trump.

No, I'm not saying they will turn on him without a real impeachable offense to work with. But if he were in bad graces of the party, I'd expect them to turn on him in a heartbeat. They get Pence in return. No big deal.

How's that recount going ?

Clinton is up about 2 and a quarter million votes.

Thieving Donald might have won the election, but he did not win over the country. You'd be wise to keep that in mind.

It feels like making predictions about Trump is foolhardy. Who knows what will happen... He wasn't supposed to be elected...

Although 95% of the pundits believed that Hillary would win, I don't think anyone is surprised that she won the popular vote. She was ahead by almost 5 million votes in the four Pacific states. Even in Texas the Republicans didn't have a margin of over a million votes.

California 4,016,025
Washington 517,470
Oregon 217,500
Hawaii 138,044

All predictions are foolhardy, except those found in the physical sciences. But it's human nature to try to predict the future. I mean this literally (and I mean "literally" literally as well).

We do know a few useful facts, deplorable as they may be. The Orange Man is petty, vindictive, inclined to show and spectacle, and has more than a bit of a draconian streak going. He's also quite ignorant of government and the law. He keeps proposing cruel actions which go against precedent and are blatantly unconstitutional.

Recently he proposed overthrowing two Supreme Court precedents. I can predict he will do this over and over, and Congress might let a few slip by.

The point is a majority of the country did not want Trump as president. If you add the votes for Johnson, Stein and others to the mix, the majority of people not supporting Trump only grows larger.

He hardly has the country behind him, or even the GOP. Right now they may be eating his shit, but if he doesn't lead them where they want to go, there'll be trouble.

The question is what kind of unconstitutional means Thieving Donald will go to in order to break Congress if/when that happens.

He's a master manipulator, better than
any politician. He knows how to be many
things to many people to get what he
wants.

I concede that most politicians pander, lie, and tell an audience what they want to hear. It's in the job description.

But you've got to draw the line somewhere, right Evenbob? When Trump accuses George W. Bush of deliberately lying about Iraqi WMDs to trick the American public into supporting a war, isn't that out of bounds?

If Rush or Hannity were honorable men, they wouldn't defend Trump for pissing all over George W. Bush. It's now totally acceptable for Republican politicians to treat Bush like garbage-- the Republican voters love it, and conservative pundits like Rush & Hannity will cheer it on.

"They lied!" said Trump, talking about the George W. Bush administration. "They said there were weapons of mass destruction, there were none. And they knew there were none."

Trump will continue to say crazy things for the next 4 years, and it hasn't hurt him yet. But he's playing with fire.

Crazy things like getting Carrier stay in the
US. He got 1000 employees to stay, which
is nothing to sneeze at. Everybody who
knows Trump says he gets things done, he
attacks a problem and solves it. People who
meet with him say there's no small talk, just
get to the nitty gritty, meeting over.

What would Hillary have done with Carrier? I'm
making a joke, we know what she would have
done. Helped them leave..
