On one hand it gets crazy, I see all kinds of time stamps on emails late Sunday nights, etc. OTOH, if you have a job that requires that kind of on-call you are either high up or/and get the flexibility back during the day. A lot depends on how the law is written. Suppose instead of emailing you something, your boss called you. Is that within the rules?
