It's been a stressful 24 hours for us fans.
E9 left the nest too early yesterday and
is now almost back, he's in the tree. I and
thousands of others are really attached
to this young eagle, look at him all day.

Typical reaction from a fan:

Woke up this morning... rushed to the computer to see if any new info on E was out yet. Found none ( what did I expect at 3 a.m. in the morning). Rushed to work, had no cell service and ended up staring at my watch wanting to get home to hear about E. I just got home and low and behold my fair Lady Hawk is on the ball! Thank you so much for this, I just knew little E was a survivor! Stay strong brave one!

I wonder if Eagles see more wavelengths of light than humans? The nightvision long shot makes the near infrared lighting from the camera closest to the nest look like the nest is under a heat lamp.

Probably a bit into UV.

Birds are mostly tetrachromatic. Most mammals are dichromatic, but humans are trichromatic (look it up). Overall birds of prey have the best vision known as regards resolution and color perception.

E9 came back to the nest shortly after I
posted. He doesn't have the wing
strength to fly very high, he needs
his parents to survive. 25,000 anxious
fans were watching his return.

The amazing return of E9 to the nest. They
make constant talk to each other, they are
all glad he's back. He's too young to hunt.
The comments speak to all the anxiety we
were feeling since yesterday. People all
over world watch this little guy, he's our
eagle.

Bald eagles have been here at least a
couple million years. Many Native
Americans considered the bird sacred.
It's on our money, our seals, and
is woven into the carpet of the Oval
Office. It's the most noble bird we have.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

E9 soared for the first time today. Still not
hunting yet, depends on his parents for
food.
