Golden Boy is running things a bit like Charles X of France after the restoration of the Bourbon monarchy. He's unpopular, has an unpopular cabinet, backs unpopular laws, thinks his word is law, thinks his subjects are too free, hates the press, hates criticism, and thinks he's manly because he acts like a thug and enjoys repression.

About the only bright spot is there are more structural barriers in front of the orange clown than the royal clown had to worry about.

He had two more policy flips today, one about a person and one about some kind of bank.

"The United States has dropped its largest non-nuclear weapon after it targeted ISIS a network of caves and tunnels in eastern Afghanistan. U.S. forces used a GPS-guided GBU-43 bomb, which is 30 feet long and weighs a staggering 21,600 pounds.
A crater left by the blast is believed to be more than 300 meters wide after it exploded six feet above the ground. Anyone at the blast site was vaporized."

Bout time.

Could really use this in my sim... IF THEY HAD ANY -_-

I don't get why they used an air blast, though. Caves and tunnels, man. That's paveway country.

There's probably 50 feet of blasted rock (cave-in) blocking off any possible surviving caves or tunnels if thy go that deep.. No one is going to dig it out.

Anyone deep enough to survive is having a really bad day right now.

Marcus Weisgerber, global business editor of Defense One, tells CBS News that this heavy bomb is used to “penetrate through rock and concrete and then once they get through, they explode, creating devastation to whatever is below.”

Ummm...

"Defense One, a site dedicated to providing news, analysis, and bold ideas to national security leaders"

Bold, but dumb? The thing's called MOAB, ferchrissakes. Massive Ordinance Air Blast. Air blast is specifically not penetration, specifically does not "penetrate through rock and concrete". You can't both penetrate, and explode 6' off the deck.

I look at it this way, these people do this
for a living. Devise and test ordinance.
They know exactly what to use for any
given situation 100 times better than
any civilian. The area they bombed has
been known to be an Isis headquarters
for years and years. Now it's a pile of
rubble. Obama screeched like a woman
and threw his apron over his head and
ran away when his military leaders said
bomb it. Trump said, do what you gotta
do.

The people who designed and tested the weapons aren't the ones who decide when, where, and how it is used.

Sometimes a political decision is made, and a weapon is used in an inefficient and ineffective manner, sometimes intentionally.

The MOAB is not a penetrator weapon and is primarily intended for soft to medium surface targets covering extended areas and targets in a contained environment such as a deep canyon or within a cave system.[citation needed]
