Thanks to advertising and convenience and a lack of telling people how bad this food was for them. Minorities keep the fast food joints going and they're the ones with the most massive obesity, diabetes, HBP, and heart disease. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

So someone advertises their product to drive sales? Heaven forbid! People can educate themselves if food is "bad" or not. I don't eat fast food daily but probably once maybe twice a week. I never see minorities there in numbers that would not reflect general society. The President is a fink. |

I moved up to Washington State from Austin back in 1993, where I had lived for 22 years. The first time my wife and I went into a Taco Bell up in Washington and saw actual white people working behind the counter, we were dumbstruck. Never saw that in Austin. Aren't many blacks in upstate Washington, about the only place I ever see them working now is a Popeyes. Another thing, I worked at a McDonalds in Austin in 1981-82 for all shifts, and there's definitely stereotyping in what food the minorities order. Black people always ordered hotcakes for breakfast, fish sandwiches and orange soda for lunch/dinner. It was such a disproportionate percentage and obvious, I could practically hit the 'orange soda' button on the register whenever a black person walked in the door. Whites never ordered orange soda. McRib and chicken nuggets were introduced during that time, and blacks ordered those too. |

I have noticed that about the orange soda myself. Like menthol cigarettes, for some reason certain flavors appeal to certain groups more than others. The President is a fink. |

EB setting sugar aside you actually believe the current crap about grains. Everyone of us on this board is here because of grains. Name one major civilization in the world that didn't survive and grow with grains as the main food source. Wheat, rice, corn and other starches are what allowed human civilization to develop. Crap? Really? The science on this is pretty settled, unless you read 'research' sponsored by big grain and big sugar. I kicked grains 9 months ago and my health has improved 1000%. One of hundreds of articles: http://crossfitimpulse.com/why-grains-are-killing-you/ If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

If you stop eating everything "science" says is bad for you, you will starve to death. The President is a fink. |

I stopped grains and a list of things as long as my arm has gotten better. It's really amazing. No sugar for 40 years, but I had no idea grains were so inflammatory. I'm on a blog with over 100K members and have become friends with a lot of them. The stories they tell about what giving up bread and corn and rice and all grains has done for their health. I was very skeptical, but 9 months in and I'm a convert. We're at a point where big grain and big sugar and big pharma can no longer control us. They're the ones that started the low fat craze in the 80's that pushed us into the high grain diets that have given us the obesity and diabetes epidemic we see now. All so they can sell diabetic drugs and put 14 different kinds of sugar into every processed food product. I literally feel like a new person from where I was just last winter. Haven't felt this good since the 90's. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Did look at your link. Some trainer repeating rumours he heard in the gym. Where is your research EB? "but if you make yourselves sheep, the wolves will eat you." Benjamin Franklin |
