I have personally seen alcohol destroy lives
Me and my friends that do marijuana, viewed as some of the hardest smart fast error free workers in the company
Anything complicated at work and my fellow employees look to me for answers
My personal observation, alcoholics are drunk all day
I wont touch marijuana till after work
No urge to do it at work
I have worked with alcoholics, drunk all day, disgusting

Lizzy Borden killed her parents with an
axe. You aren't making the point you
think you're making.

I can't figure what point he is trying to make. Trying to justify getting stoned I guess.

Good point. It would have to be in an enclosed lounges with separate ventilation from the rest of the casino, if for no other reason that the house doesn't want their blackjack dealers breathing second-hand marijuana smoke for 8 hours. (Is everyone on this forum in agreement that a "contact high" is a real thing?)

The current interpretation by Nevada Gaming seems to be that it can not be used on any property licensed for gaming. The gray area is can it legally be used in a casino hotel room? There are Innkeepers laws that some will argue allow it because a hotel room is considered your personal and private area while you are renting it.

Not sure how gray that would be. For example, smoking can be banned in hotel rooms, or pets.

I cannot think of an ambitious person I have met who smoked it regular.

Fair point: if you do it too much, it can be a time-consuming distraction.

But there are always exceptions. Francis Crick, Steve Jobs, Stephen Jay Gould, Carl Sagan, Richard Branson, Arnold Schwarzenneger, and Sergey Brin are known for being industrious & hard-working. All of them are (or were) stoners.

How many Olympic gold medals does Michael Phelps need to win to prove he's hard-working and ambitious?

No, it changes your brain chemistry.

“Long-term regular marijuana use seems to have a [strong] effect on brain chemistry,” says Michael Bloomfield, Ph.D., lead author of the study. “After a period of time, your brain cells aren’t able to make as much tyrosine hydroxylase, an important enzyme that’s a key component in making dopamine. We know that dopamine affects how the brain controls motivation and addictions; therefore our study provides a scientific explanation as to the reason that cannabis users seem to become less motivated.”

Pot kills motivation and ambition in people,
but they seldom see it that way. That's the
insidious side of dope.

It's not quite that simple as a very large part of legal marijuana is via consumables not just smoking.

Don't worry, you can't tell the difference,
