Wynn Las Vegas has permanently banned Isaac Dietrich from gambling at Wynn.

No, he wasn't counting cards. His sin is to be an executive at a Denver-based publicly-traded technology company that purchased High Times magazine. Dietrich and his company (MassRoots) do not directly sell marijuana products.

Believe it or not, most casinos are not allowed to do business with customers who's money comes from sources that the federal government considers illegal. In Nevada we are not supposed to let customers that work at the pot shops gamble in our casinos because their money comes from "illegal" sources.

Colorado tries to fight homeless problem that may have been triggered by pot law.

While I would not blame it all on pot, there is probably some cause and effect. Vegas already has a homeless problem, IIRC. Will there be a similar effect?

It doesn't cause people to be homeless, but it makes it more pleasant.

Making it legal attracts potheads.

I never once met a person who did better in life by smoking pot regularly. I have met several who let their life go to hell because getting stoned became the most important thing to do.

Oh, the stoners *think* they are doing better, but they are not. Stuff just slows you down.

I listened to two podcasts yesterday by Bill Burr, railing against potheads and challenging them to email in and argue or attempt to prove him wrong. He brings up some valid points. But he chews them up pretty good. What he was saying resembles your opinion on weed heads.

As an mmj or just recreational user myself, I will admit that today's pot is different by a long ways from decades ago. In pot's defense I will say there is a big difference between minimal use and hard core. Small amounts are fine. Today's weed, and the edibles made with them are brain altering.

Also, some people are just no damn good in the first place. Like Bill says, these guys go in and don't come out for a couple decades. Time lost forever.

I always wondered about the homeless in Anchorage? There are more than you would think. In the winter some of them just dig into a snow bank and crawl in. Occasionally when the snow thrower does the side walks, they grind up a few of them each year.

I thought if you are going to be living outdoors, at least go someplace warm. But homeless here is deadly. One twenty with no ac, and I'd croak.

I'm really not caring so much anymore. Except I don't really want the stores on every corner. I just find it interesting. Legalization is really the only big variable there. Vegas may be too hot for newcomer potheads. Or maybe not. I will not retreat from it's a bad idea based on what I have seen. If we become a slowed down nation time will tell.
