Or you could maybe get into "The Librarians." There are three full seasons of ten eps each, so it's short.

The gimmick is they are "guardians" of magic, but they treat the matter more or less scientifically. One of the librarians is a math wiz (and she's cute).

I was briefed beforehand - pay close attention to the details at the beginning. It sort of help, but not really. I got not quite as far as you did, perhaps close to the end of S2, when I took a break and started back at square one again. That did the trick. And it's been amazing ever since.

I'd be happy to Cliff it for ya, but that seemed more a throwaway comment, as it feels like you've officially thrown in the towel.

I may do as you did and start over again. Let's just say I'm throwing in the towel for now. I won't bother to ask you to Cliff it for me.

After season 2, I was a bit confused. A lot of storylines. I slowed down a bit but stuck with it and love it. On the last episode of season 4. I would recommend picking up the books rather then rewatching from the beginning. I'm reading the book.

If your goal was to keep me watching, that didn't help. Season 2 was enough to cause my brain to crash.

I absolutely DETESTED Dexter. It's for
people with warped minds, IMO. I
watched exactly 2 disgusting episodes.
I agree. We tried finding something to binge and watched maybe 4 episodes of this and decided it was just violent soft porn. Not an interesting or enjoyable line in it. My relative said it gets better later on, but I couldn't stand it flopping from soft porn to blood and torture. Not my kind of entertainment at all.

Cable shows like this pander to a small
number of people in the population who
enjoy watching the suffering of others,
it's sadomasochistic porn. I look at them
as less evolved, it's a good idea to avoid
them if you can.

If its the mafia in Joisey, its The Sopranos; if its the mafia in Middle Earth, its Game of Thrones. Same show.

The wire, Bosch, have strong points, Better call saul starts up again in a couple of weeks,

Both Bosch and the Wire have excellent music selections. Keep the devil way down in the hole is a Tom Waits song he usually does stuff like Come on up to the house and other syrupy folk stuff.

There was a three parter, Warringon???, that was to be a come back piece for that hippie shoplifter that got crucified in California, but it seems someone really had it in for her and despite ratings it was killed.

Did you watch Helen Mirren in the various Prime Suspect episodes on PBS, she played the first female career-track officer in the London Met. I think it went seven seasons.

Fargo season 3 starts next month.

So does Better Caul Saul season 3.

Two of the best shows on TV, by far.

How about:

Get Smart
Alias
The X-Files
Fringe
Bones - Series wrapped this year
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

I think you would enjoy Dexter. Did you watch any episodes of "Six Feet Under"?

I encourage folks to watch "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

I really enjoyed Dexter. My favorite character was Sgt Doakes.
