The Shah was age 41 when he gave birth to a son, so Reza Pahlavi, Crown Prince of Iran is only age 57. He left Iran at the age of 17 for air force training at Reese Air Force Base near Lubbock, Texas, two years before the Iranian Revolution. He has three daughters as some of my former students went to school with them in elementary school.

Russian soldiers were told charge the lines and you might get shot in the front, but run and you will get shot in the back. Iran used much the same method in the Iran-Iraq war. It would not be quite as bad since Saddam was a very bad general, stopping when he made the objective not won the war.
