In modern times, every couple of years
a cult makes the news by predicting the
apocalypse will happen at a certain
day and time. Of course they're always
wrong and they fade into obscurity.

Jesus was one of these prophets and
he was just as wrong as the modern
doomsdayers, an apocalypse didn't
happen in the lifetime of his apostles
like he said. But Jesus got a PR bonus,
he was put to death by the Romans.

A myth grew around his cult that still
exists to this day. It was expanded and
embellished and exaggerated beyond
belief (literally) and it's what we see today.
Make no mistake though, Jesus was no
more a god than any of the present
apocalyptic prophets, it was a story made
up after he died. And embellished to the
point of ridiculousness..

Look Bob, we have all learned to pretty much ignore your view of things in regards to Jesus, the Scriptures, and the history of Christianity. So I'm not concerned with your erroneous take on Jesus and His message.

I'm curious though if you would like to engage in a real discussion with C.S. Lewis. You obviously have no interest anymore in talking with me so maybe engaging in conversation with someone you can't just ignore or blow off would be a good idea. I won't call you chicken if you don't want to because I know it would really challenge you.

I read Mere Christianity decades ago
and still disagree with his definition
of morality. It's not objective, it's
the product of evolution, like everything
else. It's in us, not outside of us. It's
how we get along in society. CS Lewis,
you must be getting desperate if
you're channeling that old apologist..

So can you imagine a time when rape and killing of innocents was a moral good during our evolving morality, can you imagine it becoming a good thing as our morality evolves? Or has there been some things that are and always will be objectively immoral?

My suggestion about C.S. Lewis was to have you actually deal with an argument instead of running, digressing, ignoring, blocking, insulting, or making stuff up.

You must be desperate if you're pushing
that old apologist Lewis. His illogical
approach as to why there's a god. Lewis
was a big atheist hater and thought thru
his faulty logic he could prove god exists.
Him and his faux logic have been the darling
of Xtions for decades, too bad they are
the only ones who think he makes sense.
And that's because they're believers going
in, it's impossible fro them to see Lewis
objectively.

This is a perfect example. You just parrot some nonsense without any evidence or argument. Then you completely ignore any challenges to your ideas that were mentioned in just one post previous. If we were studying the book you couldn't just say this like you conjured it out of thin air you would have to actually deal with his position. I think you are desperate to avoid this old apologist.

The only people Lewis makes sense to
is Xtions. That's because they're believers
going in. If you read Lewis with an open
objective mind, you can see his logic is
riddled with fallacies. If you're already
a believer, his flawed logic makes perfect
sense.

You just keep doing it again and again, you can't help yourself can you? You don't answer any objections, which I think is equivalent to admitting you are wrong, and you keep saying ridiculous incorrect things without any supporting argument or reason. Let me find my copy of "Mere Christianity" and lets see exactly what you are talking about.

I'm insulted you even mentioned CS
Lewis. That old hack is usually pushed
on gullible teens who are confused about
their religion. They're too young and
naive to see thru his juvenile logic.

Can you give an example of his juvenile logic? Can you answer the above question about morality evolving that you have avoided for a number of posts?
