He is? Then why is he still hanging on millions of crosses around the world. Every Catholic church you go into, there he is, up on that cross. Ever see a sports trophy? They depict the athlete winning, that's what he won for the trophy , not just participating. Jesus on the cross makes no sense, if he's risen depict him that way. He obviously hasn't, you're still waiting. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Fleastiff Member since: Oct 27, 2012 Threads: 62 Posts: 7831 | I went grocery shopping since I needed food for the feral cats. I gave them an 'extra meal' today. Perhaps that is a celebration of Easter, perhaps its not. Anyway the females were rather few in the store but they were all nicely dressed so perhaps that is there way of celebrating Easter. Mine was to feed feral cats and chat on facebook with a depressed victim (at age nine0 of a pedophile. Should I say Happy Easter? Well the checkout clerk wished me a Happy Easter, so returned the wishes rather than say anything about its all a crock. I don't think I was 'religious' to her, just polite. |

That is exactly what Christ is doing on the cross. “It is with the smallest brushes that the artist paints the most exquisitely beautiful pictures.” ( |

Rising from the dead is his claim to fame. Over a hundred thousand died on the cross, it's hardly an oddity. It was very common in those days to see a field with half a dozen crosses in them. Jesus supposedly rising and walking around, that's what should be depicted when you enter a church. And I hope you celebrated all those Jewish saints dead for hundreds of years that came out of their graves and tombs when Jesus rose. They walked around and people were amazed. How come we never hear about them. There are lots of logical reasons Jesus could have woken up 3 days later. Some saint that died 400 years before, that's the miracle. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

So what was all the Jewish saints rising proof of? It must have happened, it's right there in the NT. Are they divine too? This had to be a big deal, far bigger for the Jews than Jesus walking around 3 days later. (I don't expect a cogent answer, Christians do NOT want to discuss this, they usually clam right up when I mention it.) If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
