So now we are down to not an unsubstantiated source but a rumour of a possible story being investigated. Soon it will be next month they might do a story on a hooker in Russia. Oh I forgot they already did that one.

This ain't the Washington Post. There's no journalistic standards on a message board. We can discuss whatever rumors we want. I seem to recall righties peddling tons of rumors about Obama and Hillary over the past 8 years. If you don't like it, tune out.

Actually, for Trump's sake I hope there is.

No, really. If no one involved in his campaign colluded with Russia, this means that 1) Trump likes dictators like Putin, 2) he engaged in a cover up out of mere vanity, 3) he engaged in obstruction of justice out of mere vanity. In other words, if there was no collusion with the Russians at all, then Trump dug himself a deep hole out of sheer idiocy.

Of course if there was any collusion and Trump resorted to a cover up, eh should be impeached and removed. If there was no collusion and he engaged in a cover up anyway, then he wasted the time and resources of the FBI, the House and the Senate, not to mention he reveled himself as too stupid to hold any post involving more than half a penny of other people's money, so eh should be impeached and removed as well.

Just in the former case there is a rational, if wrong, reason for the subsequent crimes. In the latter there isn't.

Since associating Trump with Caesar is en vogue (apparently the play has Caesar assassinated multiple times and nothing else happens), let me remind you if Gaius Julius Caesar had simply returned to Rome after serving as Pro Consul in Gaul, nothing bad would have happened to him. Oh, he'd have lost a lot of power, and perhaps any chance at further political advancement (but who knows what the conqueror of Gaul, a major feat, could worm his way out of), but he wouldn't have been killed, tortured, imprisoned or even fined. he had no rational motive, save self-aggrandizement, for plunging Rome in a bloody civil war.

target most of the time. They hate

Trump is right, he won by being just
the way he is now, over the top and
unpredictable. Why should he ever
stop, it keeps him front and center
on the national stage.
