Russia did attempt to tamper with our election. Chances are that they favored a Trump win because they could see the irrational commotion it would cause as compared to just electing Hillary and her getting nothing done. That they attempted to do so does not mean it worked. That they attempted to do so also does not mean that Trump or his folks were involved. Stealing emails is tampering. Attempting to hack voting apparatus is tampering. |

I'm still confused why Trump Jr. personally published the email chain on his Twitter feed. Was he merely trying to pre-empt the Times' scoop, beat 'em to it? Seems wiser to withhold as much as possible, deny, and stonewall. On the other hand, his father will pardon him, so he won't do a day in jail so maybe there's not much risk with coming clean. (Though Trump Jr.'s version of coming clean is to change his story repeatedly on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.) And who were the 5 high-ranking White House sources who leaked this to the Times? Maybe they figure that Mueller already had the emails so there was nothing to lose by dumping it to the media. |

Watching the FBI hearing today was painful at times. I think they should vote in a list of questions and hear him out instead of all the attempted grandstanding. They speak just to hear themselves talk. |

It has Dem law professors like Dershowitz coming out of the woodwork today to slam the treason talk. It's not treason by any definition or even in the ballpark of treason. It's completely a 1st amendment issue, nothing more. By the medias definition. it would be treason if you took political advice from your Russian immigrant butcher. All that happened is Jr got duped into a silly meaningless meeting. A big nothing burger of a story.
