My pick for best supporting actor is David Thewlis, who played Ares/Sir Patrick. He is even better in Fargo (season 3). Somebody I will start to follow.

He was fine. I think he held back on his performance to let Gal Gadot be the star.?

It didn't work, I thought she was completely
forgettable. Her costume did all work, as
usual in a super hero movie. It's an old
saying in the acting business, that when
you wear a costume it does all the work
and you just relax and let it.

Yep. He will always be Lupin to most of us millenials.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that. Many of her best scenes were in plain clothes.

Saw it tonight. I wish I had a piece of the residuals on this one.

Only thing, I can't imagine any sequel will be able to live up to this one. It's just that good.

Not that any sequels usually do, but a future one has some long odds IMO>

But she didn't stand out like a Julia Roberts
or a Meryl Streep, she's a pretty face that
can say her lines. She's not even a Kiera
Knightly, who looks good and can say her
lines but isn't always forgettable.

Also, I was in a bad mood when it started, because of all the god***n previews I had to sit through. Holy cow! Tried to get there just on time, but they still went on for almost a half hour after starting time.

Gonna have to wait a bit on the Godot acting. As far as I was concerned she played the part the way the director intended, as a somewhat stoic serious heroic character. Breaking into too much clever cutsey reparte' would have hurt that character portrayl IMO.

Whether she has more range is another story. Thought it was perfect for this movie though.

And she is very easy on the eyes.
