Make it three.

Make it four, I have never heard of either of them.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a detrrent.

At least three of us here. Goes to show more than just a few have tuned out more and more pop culture, a good thing.
Perhaps. I tend to tune out gossip column stuff and sometimes the names of actresses are somewhat familiar to me but I'd be unable to say quite why. Showed boobs in a movie or on a magazine cover? dated Prince Charles? Married Prince Charles? Married to a mass murderer?

For me it might be I got to a certain age and just stopped caring. Might even be I use the self-checkout which has no tabloids. Cord cutting has helped. My inability to remember names another huge part. No matter what, it is just plain great!

I don't go to movies very often, nor do I read tabloids. But given a list of 50 actresses whose movies have grossed the most in Canada and USA, I would think that your average person would have some idea of what at least 80% look like. As a clue I've listed their top grossing movie next to their name.

Carrie Fisher is the only dead actress on the list.

Scarlett Johansson The Avengers
Emma Watson Beauty and the Beast
Cameron Diaz Shrek 2
Helena Bonham Carter Harry Potter / Deathly Hallows
Elizabeth Banks Catching Fire

Cate Blanchett Return of the King
Julia Roberts Ocean's Eleven
Zoe Saldana Avatar
Jennifer Lawrence Catching Fire
Sandra Bullock Minions

Anne Hathaway The Dark Knight Rises
Michelle Rodriguez Avatar
Kathy Bates Titanic
Sigourney Weaver Avatar
Carrie Fisher Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Angelina Jolie Maleficent
Kristen Wiig Despicable Me 2
Amy Adams Batman v Superman
Natalie Portman The Phantom Menace
Sally Field Forrest Gump

Meryl Streep Mamma Mia!
Queen Latifah Ice Age 3
Marisa Tomei Captain America 3
Kirsten Dunst Spider-Man
Jada Pinkett-Smith The Matrix Reloaded

Halle Berry X-Men: The Last Stand
Gwyneth Paltrow Iron Man 3
Kristen Stewart The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
Diane Lane Inside Out
Bonnie Hunt Zootopia

Nicole Kidman Happy Feet
Charlize Theron Hancock
Jennifer Aniston Bruce Almighty
Rachel McAdams Doctor Strange
Drew Barrymore E.T.

Keira Knightley Dead Man's Chest
Naomie Harris Dead Man's Chest
Emma Thompson Beauty and the Beast
Gal Gadot Wonder Woman
Helen Mirren Monsters University

Emma Stone The Amazing Spider-Man
Liv Tyler Return of the King
Reese Witherspoon Sing
Rene Russo Thor: The Dark World
Anna Faris Alvin and the Chipmunks 2

Kate Winslet Titanic
Leslie Mann Big Daddy
Lupita Nyong'o Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Rose Byrne Bridesmaids
Michelle Pfeiffer Batman Returns

To be fair, I have seen almost every movie on that list (although not in theaters).

Personally, the only name that I didn't recognize at all was Naomie Harris (Miss Moneypenny in Spectre).

Don't forget Chris Pratt was in Passengers with Jennifer Lawrence. I know Bob's seen that one.

I was surprised by that as well. He was the main star of three massive movies.
#74 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy BV $773.3 million
#4 2015 Jurassic World Uni. $1,671.7 million
#55 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 BV $861.7 million

Swear to god, never seen him before
now. I avoid CGI movies like those
listed because the acting in them is
so shitty they aren't worth my time.
Never heard of the woman either.
I don't watch horror movies, even
spoofs of them, they would be
meaningless to me.

Never seen it, never even heard of it.
ScFi usually bores the crap out of me.

Anna Faris played the clueless, Christian (but I repeat myself) teenage mother of Monica and Chandler's adopted twins.
